Chapter 7: Sisterly Love
~Flerbery’s P.O.V.~
“Ugh. Fine. Wait, I see two boys about to be escorted to father's conference room!!! I found them! Hurry up, follow me!” Woande says to me mentally.
I run over to her, trying not to look obvious, but nearly tripping in my heals. Ugh, damn heels!
I catch up to Woande and see the boys she is talking about. They are both dressed elegantly. One of them I had already talked to, but he hadn’t told me he was a Prince. I think his name was… Stellan. Yes, that’s it.
Woande reaches them before I do and introduces herself.
“Hello, I am princess Woande. May I ask who you are?” She asks.
“I am Prince Cadarum of, er, of Kingdom Goronglia. And if I heard correctly, you are Princess Woande?” He replies.
“His voice is so sexy, and his eyes are gorgeous, and he’s so handsome! Wait Woande snap out of it, he’s from our enemy kingdom. You can’t fall for him!!! Oh crap. Flerb can hear my thoughts…" I hear woande think.
“Yeah Woande. Umm. Nice description there. Ha, ha.” Not only can I hear her thoughts, but I can see from her perspective, and let me tell you, Prince Cadarum looks a lot better in her eyes than mine. He’s not unattractive, but he’s not particularly fetching either.
“Shut up Flerb. Like you didn’t think Stellen was ‘soooooo sexy’ and ‘dreamy?’” She thinks to me. I never thought those specific words… Whatever.
“You know, sometimes I wish you couldn’t read my thoughts.” I tell her, annoyed. At that point, I reach the her and the princes and tune out her thoughts.
“Hello, Stellan. I don’t remember you saying that you were a Prince.” I say, trying to keep my tone polite and sort of failing.
“I didn’t think it was important at the time. I figured you should meet me without precognition of your Father’s plans. That is’ of course, assuming you already know.” He says haughtily.
“Yes, we do.” I say glancing at Woande. I find his extensive vocabulary mildly attractive…
“Yes, well please excuse me. We really must go, your father requests our presence.” He says.
I curtsy and turn to Waonde. She talks flirtatiously with Prince Cadarum. Ugh… Prince Stellan elbows Cadarum impatiently, which Woande doesn’t seem to notice. She is completely taken in by Cadarum’s eyes at the moment. Cadarum does notice, though.
“I am so sorry Princess, but we are requested by your father. Maybe I will see you later tonight?” He asks sweetly. Yuck, they like each other.
“Yes of course! Meet me at the front door after your conference with my father.” Great Woande, way to think before you speak. I guess I’ll be going to see the stable boy on my own.
“Woande, remember what I said earlier about hopeless lovesick dimwits…?” I think sourly.
She ignores me and walks over to the food table to wait fervently for Cadarum to return to her. Her apparent dalliance is really quite embarrassing. Oh well, you’ve gotta love her anyway….
I walk out of the ballroom, through the courtyard, and on toward the stables.
